Tarte Family

Have you ever been touched by a family so much that you don't really know how to express it??  That is exactly how I feel about the Tarte family.  You see we met Chris & Natalie when they arrived in Colorado Springs for their first assignment with the Army.  They are southerners like us and are just fun peeps.  We were blessed to be in the same small group, so we were able to get to know them even better.

Soon after arriving in Colorado Chris was deployed to Afghanistan and then Natalie learned that she was expecting their third child.  Something happened to their family that all families fear when someone is deployed...Chris got hurt.  Fast forward through about 15 surgeries and a new baby and the Tarte family is starting to put life together of what their new "normal" will be.  They were all able to make a trip to Colorado from San Antonio (where Chris is doing rehab) in May.  We were honored that we were able to spend some time with them one night.  It was a blast!!  And the kids loved talking to Chris about his injuries.

Chris with his son, Sam
Chris with the kiddos.  They had lots of questions & Chris didn't mind at all. The boys loved seeing the man they pray for every night.
Jonathan & Hattie...they seemed to pick up right where they left off...

Natalie, an amazingly strong woman!
